Deckrunners is an endless runner platformer where players draft a deck of movement options to escape a killer drone. As players pick up collectibles, they are given opportunities to add new ability cards to their deck, such as teleportation, double jumps, and velocity multipliers. Abilities can be chained together to dart through the game's three different "biomes" at breakneck speeds, avoiding the specialized obstacles in each.
This game was created over the course of 2 months, as the final project for my Intro to Game Design course. Since it was a solo project, I was in charge of all of the games art, programming, and design, including all of the game's cards and their corresponding abilities.
Deckrunners was created using the Unity engine.
NOTE: The final build of Deckrunners was unfortunately lost, and the screenshots and available build are from a salvaged work-in-progress prototype.
