Firework Frenzy is a VR interactive experience displayed at Bradley University's 2023 FUSE showcase. Players are given 70 seconds to customize the colors and effects of as many fireworks as they can before they're treated to a firework show of their own making. At the end of every show, players are given a commemorative print photo of their firework creations.
As lead programmer, it was my job to create the framework systems for the rest of the programmers to build off of, as well as delegate their tasks. Despite our team's lack of VR development experience, we managed to overcome the hurdles of Unity VR development rather quickly to produce a final project that we're all proud of.
Firework Frenzy was developed as a side project by a team of 13 members over a period of 6 months using the Unity engine. During the two days Firework Frenzy was available to the public, 1197 fireworks were created by over 500 people.
